Nissan India has sent out a new teaser confirming some features of the X-Trail before its launch.

Nissan India has released a second round of teasers for its upcoming X-Trail SUV, confirming a number of features. As we had reported earlier, the fourth-gen Nissan X-Trail, which has been on sale in international markets since 2021, will be brought to India as a CBU. Nissan India currently only has the Magnite compact SUV on sale.

We have reported previously that the X-Trail for India will be powered by a 1.5-litre three-cylinder turbo-petrol unit paired to a CVT gearbox. The new teaser confirms the presence of an automatic gearbox, drive modes, an electronic parking brake with auto-hold function and cruise control via the buttons mounted on the unique three-spoke steering. The steering seems to be finished in a leatherette material.

On the inside, the X-Trail for India will offer seating for up to seven passengers with a bench seat in the second row and two more seats in the third row. Passengers will be able to enjoy the dual-pane sunroof, dual-zone climate control and a large infotainment touchscreen (flanked by physical toggles for some functions). More details about the new Nissan X-Trail for India will trickle in as the launch approaches. We expect the X-Trail to be priced in the Rs 30 lakh-35 lakh (ex-showroom) region, which means it’ll take on the likes of the Jeep Meridian, Skoda Kodiaq, MG Gloster and the Hyundai Tucson.
