Next generation Royal Enfield Bullet 350 seen testing

The Royal Enfield Bullet 350 will be the third motorcycle based on the J-platform.

Royal Enfield’s J-platform has already spawned two motorcycles in the form of the Meteor 350 and Classic 350.  Now we expect to see the next-generation Bullet 350 to go on sale in the coming months based on the same platform. The test mules of this motorcycle have been spotted recently and here’s what we can make of the bike from the images.

The design, to begin with, seems beefier than that of the Classic 350 and Meteor 350. The fuel tank, for example, looks chunkier, while the front and rear fenders appear to be wider. The headlight casing looks new, with a thick strip of chrome encircling it.

As is the case with the Classic 350, the Bullet 350 also gets a pair of pilot lamps above the headlight. Other visual changes include a new single-piece seat with a prominent step. The foam thickness seems pretty generous as well. Also notice the thin, tubular pillion grab rail that’s integrated with the seat.

The rear fender houses the tail-light and indicators, with the former looking quite similar to the one we’ve seen on the Classic 350.

While this test bike is draped in black, expect Royal Enfield to offer the bike in a multitude of colour options and with a generous smattering of chrome.

Under the bodywork, the Royal Enfield Bullet 350 is expected to use the same frame and suspension as the Classic 350. Also expect to see the same 349cc, air-cooled, single-cylinder engine that we’ve seen in the Classic. To reiterate, the engine makes 20.3hp and 27Nm.

There is no word on the Bullet 350’s launch yet,   but we can expect the company to unveil it  by the end of this year, or the beginning of 2023.
