Nayanthara Reaches Out To Atlee Amid Rumours of Being ‘Upset’ With Him, Tells Him ‘So Proud Of…’ –

Nayanthara seemingly reacted to rumours claiming that she is upset with Atlee. The actress, who has distanced herself away from the media, took to her Instagram Stories and shared a photo with the Jawan director. Nayanthara dug out a series of never-before-seen behind-the-scenes photos featuring herself and Atlee from the sets of Jawan to wish the filmmaker on his birthday. In the photos, Nayanthara and Atlee were seen exchanging notes and laughs.

Sharing the photo collage, Nayanthara said she was proud of Atlee. “Happy birthday Atlee. So proud of u,” she wrote. The post was enough to shut down the rumours about their strained relationship.

Earlier in the day, it was reported that Nayanthara is ‘very upset’ with Atlee after her role was allegedly chopped from Jawan. A source told Hindustan Times, “She has been very upset with Atlee because her role was chopped in the film. Also, Deepika’s (Padukone) character was elevated and Nayantara’s part was significantly sidelined.”

Deepika Padukone, who has previously worked with SRK in numerous movies, had an extended cameo in Jawan, but her role was much appreciated by the audience. “It was not a cameo at all. Jawan was almost made to look like an SRK-Deepika film. Nayanthara is the leading actor down south, and hence, she was not happy with the treatment of Jawan,” said the source, adding, “And that can never well be the reason why we might not see her in a Bollywood project, at least not anytime soon.”

Atlee is yet to react to these claims.

Nayanthara and Atlee go back a long way. The actress has worked with Atlee in his debut film as a director, Raja Rani. She reunited with him for Bigil. Atlee reached out Nayanthara again for his big Bollywood debut, Jawan. She was cast opposite Shah Rukh Khan in the film.
