Rumour mills were abuzz, Mrunal is in love with a Telugu actor and can tie the nuptial knot with him soon. This news became the talk of the town after producer Allu Aravind talked about it at an award function. He was to present the Best Female Actor award to Mrunal for her acting skills in the film Sita Ramam. At the event, Aravind blessed Mrunal to get married soon. He said, “I want her to settle down in Hyderabad.”

Since then, rumour mills have been abuzz that Mrunal, indeed, is settling down with a Telugu actor. But the actress, through a video message, has now clarified and brushed it off as mere rumour. “I’m so sorry to break your hearts, guys. To all the stylist, designers and my friends and family who have been calling me constantly for the past for one hour when they got to know that I’m getting married to some Telugu boy! I also want to know who this boy is. Sorry, yeh galat afwah hai (It’s a rumour). Kyunki mujhe sirf blessing mili thi (I only received blessings). I can’t even express how funny this rumour is. But having said that, I just couldn’t control. Hogi shaadi jaldi. Ladka aap hee dhund dena bas bata dena mujhe. Location, venue sab bhej dena, thik hai (I’ll get married soon. Find me a man, you guys. Send me the location).

Mrunal will be next seen in Pippa. The film is a thrilling narrative of a landmark moment in history – the Battle of Garibpur, during the Indo-Pakistan war of 1971; that was pivotal in Bangladesh’s struggle for independence. Directed by Raja Krishna Menon, the film features Ishaan who essays the character of real-life war hero Captain Balram Singh Mehta along with Mrunal Thakur, Priyanshu Painyuli and Soni Razdan in pivotal roles.
