The "mPassport Police App" was launched on Friday by the Ministry of External Affairs to streamline and speed up the process of police verification of passport issuance.

In Delhi, the government has launched the mPassport police app, a new online passport verification service. In just five days, this facility says, the passport verification process will be finished.

The previous 15-day waiting period for verification has been replaced by the new system. The entire process of police report verification and submission will be paperless as a result of this move.

“Individuals living in Delhi will never again need to stress over their visas as they will presently get the police leeway in no less than five days as against the previous 15 days. A facility for mobile phone and tablet computer passport verification has been established.

According to a PTI report, Union Home Minister Amit Shah stated that “their online processing will reduce the problems faced by people.” On average, 2,000 passport applications are received each day.

Shah asserted that the year 2023 will be pivotal for the Delhi Police because it will be required to remain alert for the upcoming G20 summit, which will be attended by dignitaries from all over the world.
