Moto Morini X Cape 1200 price, engine, India launch details

Corsaro 750, Corsaro Sport use a 750cc engine, while Milano and X-Cape 1200 use a 1,200cc V-Twin mill.

Moto Morini’s recent resurrection by Chinese giant Zhongneng Vehicle Group has resulted in a range of models using the CFMoto-sourced 650cc parallel twin engine. But the older Moto Morini models were famed for their brutish V-Twin engines and now, the manufacturer has revived its Bialbero CorsaCorta V-Twin EVO engine for duty in multiple new models.

Moto Morini Corsaro 750, Corsaro Sport: V-Twin middleweights

Both these bikes are powered by a liquid-cooled, 750cc, V-Twin engine, although peak output figures are still under wraps. The twi Corsaro models are also one of very few middleweight bikes to use true blue V-Twin engines when more models are increasingly using 270-degree crank parallel-twin engines.

What we can see is that the Corsaro 750 is a very aggressively styled naked streetfighter that packs in some premium componentry such as Brembo Stylema calipers, a hydraulic clutch and Pirelli Diablo Rosso 4 rubber. The fully-faired Corsaro Sport features a fully-faired design that in typical Italian fashion is clean and well-executed. Similar componentry is also found on the Corsaro Sport as on the naked version.

Moto Morini X-Cape 1200, Milano: 1,200cc flagships

The Milano and X-Cape 1200 are both powered by the same liquid-cooled, 1,187cc, 87-degree V-Twin engine. It remains to be seen what kind of output figures this engine makes, considering it’s returning to the market after quite some time. To give you a reference, in the now-discontinued Granpasso 1200 adventure bike, this V-Twin engine was rated for 118hp and 104Nm of torque.

Lets start with the Milano as it this is the first time it is being shown to the public. It has a very handsome and polished neo-retro design much like the 650cc Seiemmezzos. The header pipes remind of the erstwhile Ducati Monster 1200, as does that big shotgun style twin-can exhaust muffler. The Milano has four riding modes and a TFT dash.

The other model to use this engine is the X-Cape 1200 adventure bike, which will come with cruise control among other electronic rider aids. It runs on Pirelli Scorpion Trail 2 tyres and has a split radiator setup.

Moto Morini currently retails their entire 650cc lineup in India but it remains to be seen whether these V-twin models will come to our shores.
