Mohanlal’s Viral Photo With A Little Monk Boy Sparks Rumours Of Yoddha Sequel –

Malayalam superstar Mohanlal, ever since his debut in 1980 with the movie Manjil Virinja Pookkal, has managed to impress his fans. In his film career, which spans more than 4 decades, he has produced numerous blockbuster hits. Mohanlal’s fans still yearn for the sequels of his old movies. Amid all this, the actor’s social media following has reached more than 5 million now. Mohanlal loves sharing his old photos and videos with fans on social media. Recently, he posted a photo with a monk, which has now gone viral. His fans have started to suspect the possibility of the sequel of his superhit Malayalam film in 1992, Yoddha.

Mohanlal is currently busy with the sequel of the movie Lucifer, directed by Prithviraj Sukumaran. Amid this, he posted a photo with a little monk boy, in which both can be seen donning a maroon colour attire. He captioned the post, “Old Ashokettan and new Unnikuttan.” With this, he may have tried to hint at the sequel of the movie Yoddha, as the main characters’ names were the same in the film. Mohanlal has not officially confirmed any sequel to the movie. It may have been just a nostalgic moment for Mohanlal, to pose with the little monk, and that’s why he paid tribute to his superhit film.

Yoddha was directed by Sangeeth Sivan and written by Sasodharan Arattuvazhi. Mohanlal played the lead role in the movie, in which his character’s name was Ashokan. He played the role of a saviour, who was destined with the task of protecting a monk boy from the sorcerers of black magic. Mohanlal’s performance in the movie was widely loved by the audience and movie critics. The supporting cast of the movie includes Jagathy Sreekumar, Siddharth Lama, Puneet Issar and Urvashi.

The music of the movie was composed by AR Rahman. It was his first music composition for a Malayalam film. The songs of the movie beautifully showcased the love between Mohanlal and the monk boy. It is no wonder that fans have started to speculate about the sequel of the movie after watching his latest post. According to reports, it is believed that the director Sangeeth Sivan said that he needs a good enough story for the sequel, which can match the impact of the prequel.
