Akshay Kumar’s Mission Raniganj presents the heroic act of Late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill who led Bharat’s coal mine rescue mission in 1989.
Akshay Kumar never fails to impress all when it comes to presenting untold, gripping stories of valour and determination. After launching the intriguing motion poster, Pooja Entertainment has now dropped the impactful teaser of their highly anticipated movie, Mission Raniganj: The Great Bharat Rescue, and it’s nothing short of grandeur and spectacular. The impressive teaser has left Akshay Kumar’s fans excited for the film.
Mission Raniganj teaser promises to be a thrilling ride, packed with suspense, courage, and the determination to overcome seemingly insurmountable challenges. It reveals how the film is inspired by a real-life incident and presents the heroic act of the late Shri Jaswant Singh Gill who led Bharat’s coal mine rescue mission. Singh (portrayed by Akshay Kumar) played a significant role in rescuing all the surviving miners trapped inside a flooded coal mine in Raniganj in November 1989 which is documented to be the world’s largest and successful rescue mission against all odds.

Soon after the teaser was shared, fans rushed to the comments section and expressed excitement for the film. “Akshay Kumar back with National Award-winning Rustom director after 7 Years,” one of the fans wrote. Another user called the teaser ‘promising’. One of the fans shared that he is confident about the film’s success and wrote, “another blockbuster coming soon”.
Besides Akshay, the film also stars Parineeti Chopra in the lead. Mission Raniganj is their second mother together. The two actors previously worked together in the 2019 film Kesari.
Mission Raniganj is produced by Vashu Bhagnani, Jackky Bhagnani, Deepshikha Deshmukh and Ajay Kapoor. The film is directed by Tinu Suresh Desai. It will be released in theatres on October 6, 2023.
