It’s at the rear where the SUV gets updates in the form of LED inserts which connect the tail-lamps and the prominent ‘Hector’ badging.

The interior of the Hector facelift sees the biggest change – it features a new 14-inch touchscreen infotainment system, the largest in any car sold in India so far. This system now supports wireless Android Auto and Apple CarPlay. Other interior highlights include a revised dashboard, featuring a double-layered design with horizontally positioned D-shaped AC vents, and new graphics for the 7.0-inch digital driver’s display. This technology includes safety features like lane keep assist, blind spot detection, rear cross-traffic alert, forward collision warning and lane departure warning. It also gets a feature called Traffic Jam Assist, which, when activated, helps the SUV stop and go when it senses slow moving traffic ahead.

When it comes to engine options, the Hector continues with the same 143hp, 1.5-litre turbo-petrol engine that is available with either a 6-speed manual or a CVT automatic gearbox. However, not only does this engine does not get mild-hybrid tech like before but it also lacks the 7-speed DCT gearbox as it has been discontinued.
