The Snowstorm and Desertstorm editions of the MG Gloster are available in 2WD and 4WD configurations.
Early in May 2024, MG India launched special editions of the Comet, Hector, ZS EV and Astor to commemorate the brand’s 100th anniversary. While the Gloster did not get the centenary edition, the brand has now introduced not one, but two special editions for the SUV – Snowstorm and Desertstorm, priced at Rs 41.05 lakh (ex-showroom, India). These Editions get only cosmetic changes and the Gloster Storm lineup now has three editions: Blackstorm, Snowstorm and Desertstorm.Â
MG Gloster Snowstorm Edition: what’s new?Â
As the name suggests, the Gloster Snowstorm Edition gets a white and black exterior finish with red accents. While the exterior shade is primarily white, there are black elements on the front grille, spoiler, alloy wheels, wing mirrors, foglamp and fender garnish. The front fender, wing mirrors and even headlamps get red accents. On the inside, the Snowstorm Edition gets black upholstery and red stitching on the steering wheel. The Snowstorm is available only in the six-seater configuration.Â
MG Gloster Desertstorm Edition: what’s new?Â
The Desertstorm Edition gets a golden exterior paint scheme similar to the one seen on the Mahindra Thar Earth Edition. The headlamps get red accents and there are a host of black elements like the alloy wheels, front grille, wing mirrors, and roof rails, just like as on the Snowstorm edition. On the inside, it gets a similar black treatment with white stitching. It is available in six- and seven-seat configurations.Â
MG Gloster features and powertrainÂ
The MG Gloster is rather generously equipped, with creature comforts such as a dual-pane panoramic sunroof, an adjustable driver’s seat with massage and ventilation functions and an ADAS suite that includes forward collision warning, lane parture warning and automatic emergency braking, to name a few.Â
The Snowstorm and Desertstorm editions of the Gloster are available in 2WD and 4WD options. While both are both powered by a 2.0-litre diesel engine, the unit makes 163hp, 375Nm in the 2WD form, and 218hp, 480Nm in 4WD configuration.Â
