While a new luxury car is preferable, there isn’t one on sale right now for that budget.

I want to buy a new car and have a budget of Rs 30 lakh. I’m confused about whether to opt for a second hand luxury car or a brand-new one.

Autocar India says: A new car is preferable, for obvious reasons, but you won’t get a luxury badge for Rs 30 lakh. For that budget, you get a midsize BMW, Mercedes or Audi that is six to seven years old. Luxury cars are prone to high maintenance with age, so it’s always best to buy from a trusted source like a friend or acquaintance or a reliable used car outlet like Spinny, OLX or Cars24.
