Matthew Perry’s death has sent shockwaves across the globe. The Friends actor passed away on Saturday, October 28, at the age of 54. He was found dead in his LA home. While fans are mourning his sudden demise, his recent post on X (previously known as Twitter) has caught fans’ attention. Three days before his death, on October 25, Matthew returned to the platform after almost a year and shared a cryptic post about mental health.
The 17 Again actor wrote, “Let’s make stigmas a stigma. -I’m Mattman #mentalhealth.” The actor restricted fans from replying to the post. Following his death, the post garnered attention with many retweeting it and offering their tributes to the star.
In his last post on X, Matthew had listed the films he believed were perfect. He put Back to the Future on the top spot while Midnight Run stood second for him.

The shocking news of his death was first reported by TMZ followed by Los Angeles Times. As per reports, Matthew was found dead at his LA home on Saturday evening, October 28. It is reported that he was found dead in his jacuzzi at home. Initial reports claim that he died of apparent drowning. No sign of foul play and no drugs were found at the scene has been reported. It has been reported that the first responders were called in to the residence for cardiac arrest.
Matthew’s family shared their statement with People on Sunday. “We are heartbroken by the tragic loss of our beloved son and brother. Matthew brought so much joy to the world, both as an actor and a friend. You all meant so much to him and we appreciate the tremendous outpouring of love,” the family said.
