After the price hike, the 5000 and 5000+ variants cost Rs 1.74 lakh and Rs 1.84 lakh, respectively.
Just a few months after its official ‘launch’, the Matter Aera e-bike’s prices have been hiked by a substantial Rs 30,000. The Aera is available in two variants currently, the 5000 and the 5000+, which now cost Rs 1.74 lakh and Rs 1.84 lakh, respectively.
Both variants of the Aera have a liquid-cooled, 5kWh battery with a claimed 125km real-world range. The liquid-cooled motor on the Aera is rated for a claimed peak power output of 10.5kW. The battery itself weighs approximately 40kg and the Aera e-bike tips the scales at roughly 180kg. The Aera is the first electric bike to feature a 4-speed gearbox and the company claims the Aera can go from 0-60kph in under 6 seconds.
With the FAME-II subsidy being slashed quite substantially, prices for all electric vehicles will soon increase. However, the company has a limited-time offer where if you pre-book the Aera before June 6, it will be available at the earlier price.
All prices mentioned above are ex-showroom, India, including FAME-II subsidy, but exclusive of state subsidies.
