Manoj Patil, On Hunger Strike For Maratha Reservation, Has Actress Ashwini Mahangade’s Support –


Manoj Patil is on a hunger strike for the Maratha reservation.


Ashwini Mahangade has supported the Maratha Kranti Morcha for the past few years now. This time she came out with her support for Manoj Patil.

Activist Manoj Jarange Patil has been on a hunger strike for over a week now for Maratha Reservation. October 31 marked the seventh day of his strike. The man is gaining support from all over the country, and now, a Marathi actress has also voiced her support for the activist.

The actress is the television personality Ashwini Mahangade, who is famous for the Marathi show Aai Kuthe Kay Karte.

According to reports, she was a part of the chain hunger strike at the Wai taluka, in Maharashtra. Ashwini expressed her support saying, “Not now, not ever.” Reports state further that she also brought a placard to show support.

Ashwini Mahangade has supported the Maratha Kranti Morcha for the past few years now. This time she came out with her support for Manoj Jarange Patil.

The actress shared an inspiring clip on her official Instagram handle. She wrote, “Not now, not ever. Students, dreams, hard work, exams, passing, success, still failure, then anger, suffering, then exams again, then all the same previous steps and then suicide.” She added, “This has been going on for so many years and we have to stand up to make sure it doesn’t happen again. It is my duty to be a part of this fight.”

In an interview with ABP Majha, she talked about her decision to support the cause. Mahangade said, “This fight has not started this year. I was already a part of the Maratha Kranti Morcha. The eighth and ninth graders in my village start preparing to join the army.” She stated that even though they get a high percentage, they are not called for recruitment. The ones who get 60 per cent are called. She added, “Everyone should get a place according to their ability. Give us our own separate reservation so that our hard-working children will succeed.”
