The much-anticipated Tollywood film Guntur Kaaram, featuring Mahesh Babu in the lead role, is scheduled for a Sankranthi release next year. Recently, the makers of the film announced the release date of the film’s first single.
Initially, it was rumoured that the first song of the film would be released on Dussehra. But the latest buzz suggests that the first single will be unveiled as a birthday gift to Trivikram on November 7. An official announcement regarding this will be made shortly. It’s worth noting that the entire shooting for Guntur Kaaram will be wrapped up by the first week of December.
Mahesh Babu’s fans are eagerly anticipating Guntur Kaaram as it marks the reunion of the successful pair, Mahesh Babu and Trivikram, who last collaborated in the 2010 film Khaleja. The film promises to be an exciting action-packed drama and boasts a remarkable ensemble cast, which includes Jayaram, Sreeleela, Meenakshi Chaudhary, Jagapathi Babu, and Ramya Krishna.
Directed by Trivikram Srinivas, Guntur Kaaram marks the third collaboration between him and Mahesh Babu. Previously, the duo was seen together in films like Athadu and Khaleja. The film is produced by Haarika and Hassine Creations under the banner of Haarika & Hassine Creations. Joining Mahesh Babu in the cast are Sree Leela and Meenakshi Choudhary, marking their first on-screen appearance alongside the actor.
Initially, Pooja Hegde was selected as the female lead, but due to scheduling conflicts, she had to step away from the project.
Consequently, Sreeleela has taken on the primary female lead role, while Meenakshi Chaudhary now plays the second female lead.
With music composed by S Thaman, the cinematography of the film is handled by Ravi K. Chandran. Guntur Kaaram explores the life of a crime lord in Guntur City and delves into his romantic entanglement with a journalist who is investigating the city’s clandestine activities. Set to hit theatres on January 13 next year, this movie promises a distinct and engaging narrative.
Mahesh Babu’s latest film, Sarkaru Vaari Paata, was a massive success, raking in Rs 187 crore worldwide. Meanwhile, Trivikram Srinivas’ previous venture featured actor Pawan Kalyan.
After Guntur Kaaram, Mahesh Babu is expected to collaborate with SS Rajamouli for an international adventure film tentatively titled SSMB29. Discussions are in progress about casting an extensive ensemble cast, with the possibility of Deepika Padukone taking on the lead role.
