Both 7-seaters have been plagued by lengthy waiting periods, often extending over a year.
I booked a Toyota Innova Hycross petrol-CVT GX 8-seater as well as a Mahindra XUV700 AX5 petrol-manual 7-seater, and now the Innova allotted to me has reached the stockyard. Should I go ahead with the Innova purchase or wait for the XUV700? Anything else I should consider? The kids have grown and we usually travel with the full family, hence we need a car that’s more spacious than our Ertiga.

Autocar India says: As a spacious family car, nothing beats the Toyota Innova Hycross, which is one of the most comfortable for occupants in all three rows. What’s more, unlike most other seven-seaters, even with the third row in place, there’s still a respectable room for luggage.
Sure, the XUV700’s engine is punchier and its beige interiors feel more inviting with kit like twin screens and panoramic sunroof, however since space is a priority and your car has already reached the stockyard, go for the Innova Hycross. The Kia Carens is a good option too, which is more spacious than the Ertiga in all the rows, has a well-appointed interior and a long list of equipment, yet it is more affordable than a Hycross.
