Ingredients For Making Tari
Soaked Chana – 1 cup
Onion – 2-3 pieces
Ginger-garlic paste – 1 teaspoon
Chopped tomatoes- 4
Asafoetida – 2 pinches
Turmeric-1 teaspoon
Coriander powder- 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder- 1 teaspoon
Garam masala- 1 teaspoon
Green chilli – 2 to 3 pieces
Green Coriander – 1 tablespoon
Mustard – 1 teaspoon
Cumin- 1 teaspoon
Oil- 2 tablespoon
Salt- as per taste
Ingredients For Making Poha (Thick)
Thick Poha – 2 cups
Onion- 2 finely chopped pieces
Potato- 1 finely chopped piece
Mustard – 1 teaspoon
Green chilli- 2 pieces
Curry leaves- 10 to 12 pieces
Green Coriander – 2 tablespoon
Turmeric- 1 teaspoon
Chilli powder- 1 teaspoon
Sugar – 1/2 teaspoon
Lemon juice – 1 teaspoon
Oil – 1-2 tablespoon
Fine sev (Popular Indian snack) – 1/2 cup
Salt- as per taste
Recipe to cook the Tari Poha
1. To make tari poha, soak the chana overnight. Put these grams in 3 separate bowls of water for some time and boil till 4 whistles.
2. After this, wash the Poha properly twice and sprinkle a little water over it as well. Then, leave it for some time so that they should swell in size.
3. Now, people should focus on making the tari. They should take a pan and heat the oil in it. When the oil becomes hot, they should add mustard and cumin seeds.
4. Now add asafoetida and then add chopped green chillies as well. The mixture should then be stirred with the help of a ladle. Now, add finely chopped onion and fry it for a couple of minutes.
5. They should then add ginger-garlic paste to it and cook.
6. Now add grated tomato, and spices and fry it until the masala separates from the oil. After this add chopped tomatoes, water, and black gram while stirring the ingredients. Then cover it and leave it to boil for 5-7 minutes. Don’t forget to garnish it with green coriander and eventually, your tarry will be ready.
7. Now, heat oil in a pan on the burner to make poha and add mustard seeds. Now, add curry leaves, green chillies, and chopped onions to the pan.
8. Now while stirring, add potatoes, turmeric, chilli powder, sugar, and salt to the pan. Then resume cooking.
9. Now, add poha to the pan and cook for two minutes. Stir well and then cover it with a lid.
10. After two minutes, the poha is ready to serve and people can add lemon juice and chopped green coriander for the taste. Now, serve it with the tari.
