Leo will hit theatres in India on October 19.

Earlier on October 13, the Tamil Nagu government issued an order imposing certain conditions for the screening of Leo in theatres.

Thalapathy Vijay’s Leo is one of the most awaited movies. While fans are eagerly waiting for it, Chennai police has formed special teams to ensure everything goes smoothly once the film hits theatres. As reported by India Today, these special teams have warned of action against those who violate conditions imposed in the Government Order relating to the film’s screening.

Earlier on October 13, the Tamil Nadu government issued an order imposing certain conditions for the screening of Leo in theatres. As per this order, Vijay’s movie will not have an early morning show. While the first show will begin at 9 am, it can go on till 1:30 am. Besides this, theatre owners have also been asked to arrange adequate security arrangements and parking space available for the audiences. Cops have also warned theatre owners to sell tickets at exorbitant rates.

Leo is an action thriller which also stars Trisha Krishnan, Arjun Sarja, Gautham Menon, Mysskin and Priya Anand in pivotal roles. The film also features Bollywood actor Sanjay Dutt. Rathna Kumar and Deeraj Vaidy co-wrote the script with Lokesh Kanagaraj. The music for the film is composed by Anirudh Ravichander and its cinematography and editing have been handled by Manoj Paramahamsa and Philomin Raj, respectively.

Recently, Ahimsa Entertainment, the film’s distributor in the UK, revealed that Leo is ‘intensely raw and violent’. Appreciating the Vijay starrer, it mentioned that the film has several violent or ‘gory scenes’ and added that therefore, it is not meant for the ‘faint-hearted’.

“After discussions with the BBFC, we found a path to a ’15’ rated version of LEO with very minimal unnoticeable refining (softening ultra close-up shots of just a few violent and gory aftermaths). Working closely with the producers, we ensured these updates were done with precision, with zero effects to the film’s core, flow, standout moments, and Thalapathy’s much-loved mass appeal,” the distributor’s post read.

Leo will hit theatres in India on October 19.
