Lamborghini Urus SE is the most powerful version of the SUV, making 800hp and 950Nm.
A mere four months after being internationally revealed in April, the Lamborghini Urus SE will be launched in India on August 9, in New Delhi. The SUV is the second model in the Italian manufacturer’s lineup to get hybrid power and along with that, it also gets interior and exterior styling tweaks.Â
Lamborghini Urus SE design and featuresÂ
The Urus SE gets a new bonnet which extends much more to the front than before along with a new LED signature and slimmer LED headlamps that now get Matrix technology. It gets new front and rear bumpers and also a new tailgate section. Internationally, the model is available with 21-, 22- or 23-inch wheels shod in Pirelli P Zero tyres.
On the inside, the dashboard gets new panels and AC vents, but the bigger talking point is the new 12.3-inch central touchscreen that replaces the 10.1-inch unit on previous models. This new larger unit is shared with the Revuelto and runs the latest Lambo software.Â
Lamborghini Urus SE powertrain and performance
The Lamborghini Urus SE gets a hybrid powertrain which couples the 4.0-litre, twin-turbocharged V8 engine with the plug-in hybrid system that uses a 25.9kWh lithium-ion battery pack. Along with an electric motor in the 8-speed automatic gearbox, the total system power output stands at 800hp and 950Nm.
Lamborghini claims that the Urus SE can be driven for up to 60km using only electric power. The SUV has an all-wheel-drive system, a claimed 0-100kph time of 3.4 seconds and a top speed of 312kph.
Lamborghini Urus SE price and rivalsÂ
In 2018, the Urus was launched in India with a price tag of Rs 3 crore, while the Urus Performante and S came to the country later, priced at Rs 4.22 crore and Rs 4.18 crore, respectively. Expect the SE to cost a significant amount more considering the implementation of hybrid power. The Urus SE will rival other luxury performance SUVs like the BMW XM, Audi RSQ8, Lotus Eletre, Porsche Cayenne GTS and Aston DBX 707.
