KTM 390 SMC R details
The KTM 390 SMC-R which is based on KTM’s Adventure 390 S and the Enduro R, has been spied testing. It seems to be on a similar set up of 17-inch wire spoke wheels as the bike which was showcased at EICMA 2024. Though not a lot can be made out of the spy shots about the bike’s styling. The rider’s triangle in typical supermoto fashion seems upright.
The KTM 390 SMC R is expected to feature the same 399cc liquid-cooled engine that powers the 390 Duke, delivering 45hp and 39Nm of peak torque through a six-speed gearbox. While the state of tune of the motor hasn’t been disclosed, it’s likely the Supermoto should sport a modified final drive ratio to serve its intended purpose.
The supermoto segment in India has remained relatively unexplored, with very few entrants making their way into the market in the higher capacity segment. When KTM officially launches the 390 SMC R in the country later in 2025, it will mark a milestone as the first sub-500cc locally manufactured supermoto to be introduced here.
