Know where to file a complaint when you don’t get the insurance claim money: Insurance Claim

To file a complaint, get in touch with the Grievance Redressal Officer:
Any insurance company needs to have a Grievance Redressal Officer in order to deal with customer complaints. You should first file a complaint with the company’s grievance redressal officer if your claim is denied.

You can complain about this either in person at the office of your insurance company or online. It is important to note that most complaints about not receiving claims are resolved by the insurance company. If you are not given a hearing here, you can also file a formal complaint.

The IRDAI is in charge of the insurance industry in India. In the event of an insurance-related issue, any customer can file a complaint here. IRDAI regulations require the complaint redressal officer of the company to respond to any consumer complaints within 15 days.

The customer can submit a complaint via the IRDAI website if they remain dissatisfied despite this. Additionally, the organization’s official email address, complaints@irdai.gov.in, can be used to submit a complaint. You can also call its toll-free number.

Additionally, you can complain to the Insurance Ombudsman:
You can also file a complaint with the Insurance Ombudsman if you are dissatisfied with the resolution provided by the IRDAI and the Company’s Grievance Redressal Officer. A total of 17 insurance ombudsmen from various parts of the country have been selected for this role. It is important to note that every policyholder is required to submit a complaint to the regional Insurance Ombudsman.

By visiting the Lokpal office, you should finish up Structures P-II and P-III. The policyholder’s required locations can be found on the insurance company’s official website or office. Following the mailing of your complaint, you are required to send the hard copy via speed mail to the Lokpal office.
