Know what changes can be made online from home and what require offline updates: Aadhaar Card Updates

A unique 12-digit identification number, the Aadhaar Card is used for everything from opening a bank account to applying for school.

Aadhaar Card Updates: The Unique Identification Authority of India (UIDAI) provides both online and offline methods for updating the Aadhaar card, which is a crucial document in India. Some facilities can be updated online via mobile, while others require a CSC center visit.

A variety of demographic data, including name, birth date, address, and gender, can be updated online. Additionally, the Indian Postal website provides the option to change mobile phone numbers through UIDAI. However, an offline visit to an Aadhaar Seva Kendra is required for biometric data, mobile numbers, and email addresses.

Aadhaar Seva Kendras can be booked through the UIDAI website for applicants to visit in order to update biometric data, mobile numbers, and email addresses. Biometric data, mobile numbers, and email IDs do not require documentation, whereas demographic data does.

Changes to the Aadhaar card’s mobile numbers, biometric information, and photos all come with fees that range from Rs 30 to Rs 100.

The UIDAI offers a variety of online and offline services for updating the Aadhaar card, which is an extremely important document in India. Some updates can be completed offline at an Aadhaar Seva Kendra, while others can be completed online via mobile. Documentation is not required to update mobile numbers, email addresses, or biometric data; however, some modifications may cost money.
