Kia India has officially launched the new Seltos X-Line trim in the country with prices starting at ₹ 17.79 lakh (ex-showroom). The Korean carmaker had recently unveiled the top-of-the-line X-Line trim for the compact SUV, while the prices were kept under the wraps.
The new X-Line variants are about ₹ 25,000 premium over the regular GTX+ models. The Seltos X-Line is a more aggressive-looking and dark-themed version of the regular SUV thanks to its first made-in-India ‘Xclusive Matte Graphite’ colour that offers a premium touch.
It is offered in both petrol and diesel versions exclusively with the automatic transmissions – G1.4 T-GDi 7DCT and D1.5 6AT.

The Kia Seltos X-Line gets a host of exterior changes over the regular model giving it a meaner and more robust appearance. Upfront, there’s a new matte graphite grille with Xclusive piano black outline, and while the headlights continue to get the same design, they now get a smoked effect.
The exterior design of the Kia Seltos X-Line is underlined by Xclusive Piano Black highlights that is offered on fog lamps, 18-inch crystal cut matte graphite alloys, front and rear skid plates with sun orange accents, tailgate garnish, side door garnish with sun orange accents, center wheel cap with sun orange accents, ORVMs, shark fin antenna, and X Line emblem and more.
On the inside, the cabin layout largely remains identical to the regular model. However, it too gets a dark theme, along with new Indigo Pera leatherette upholstery that adds a premium appeal to the interior.
It also comes with the same features such as the 10.25-inch touchscreen display featuring the UVO connected car system with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. Other features like the automatic climate control, sunroof, air purification system, Bose sound system and others too have been carried over from the regular Seltos.

Engine options for the Kia Seltos X-Line include the 1.4-litre turbocharged petrol motor and the 1.5-litre diesel engine. The former is tuned to make 138 bhp and 242 Nm of peak torque which comes with the 7-speed DCT automatic unit as standard. The oil burner is tuned to make 113 bhp and 250 Nm of peak torque and is paired to a 6-speed automatic torque converter unit.
