As per recent reports, pan-India star Yash might be charging Rs 150 crores for Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi starrer.
Ranbir Kapoor is currently making headlines after the release of the teaser of his highly-anticipated film Animal. The actor seems to be on a roll because soon after the release of Animal, he will reportedly begin shooting his next film, the first instalment in Nitesh Tiwari’s Ramayana franchise. He will be joined by Sai Pallavi and Yash. While fans are excited to see this trio together, a report has surfaced that claims that KGF 2 fame Yash is charging a whopping Rs 150 Crores for the film. He would also be undergoing a massive transformation.
As per a source close to Hindustan Times, Yash is eager to be part of Ramayana, as he wants it to be the medium through which he enters Bollywood, “He knows that he also has the third part of KGF, but has decided to manage the time and shuffle between the industries. He is charging between ₹100 crore to ₹150 crore for the film, with ₹100 crore being the minimum, and the higher limit depends on the number of days he is supposed to shoot and give to the schedules,” the source revealed.
The source further spilled details about Yash’s much-awaited sequel KGF 3. They stated, “He has made up his mind to manage the time. He will have a different look in Ramanyan as compared to his look in KGF. He has started discussion on how and what the look will be. He has also started working on his physique to get it right.”
Yash has a rather extended appearance in Ramayana: Part One, however, his character will dominate the proceedings in the second part, which is set in Sri Lanka. He has allotted 15 days to shoot for Ramayana: Part One,” the source was quoted by the entertainment portal PinkVilla.
Ranbir Kapoor will play the role of Ram and Sai Pallavi will essay the role of Sita in the film. Yash will play the role of Ravana. The three actors have reportedly completed their look tests for the film. Backed by Madhu Mantena as the producer, the trilogy will be helmed by Nitesh Tiwari as the director.
