Anushka Sharma flew to Ahmedabad to extend support to her cricketer husband Virat Kohli as Team India is playing against the Australian team for the final match of the Cricket World Cup 2023. Anushka regularly attends Virat’s matches to support him and the internet cannot stop gushing over their support for one another. Katrina Kaif also joined this bandwagon recently when she said that Virat and Anushka are “wonderful support” to one another.
“They (Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma) are such wonderful support to each other. You can see whenever Virat is playing, there is joy on her (Anushka’s) face, it’s beautiful to see that,” an IANS report quoted her as saying.
Katrina also called Virat an “inspiration for all of us” and complimented his dedication and discipline. “Look at the fitness level that he has brought in, he has only made himself better. You see the dedication and the discipline that he has brought in,” she added.
During India’s batting in the match today, Virat Kohli scored 50 runs and the stadium went into a frenzy. Anushka Sharma, who is at the Narendra Modi Stadium with her mother, gave the cricketer a standing ovation. This moment went viral on social media and won many hearts online.
Meanwhile, as for Katrina, she is basking in the success of her film Tiger 3 starring Salman Khan and featuring cameos from Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan as Pathaan and Kabir respectively.
It has been nearly a week since the highly-anticipated film was released in theatres. Tiger 3 opened at the box office with Rs 44.50 crore on November 12. The film not only became the highest Diwali opening for Salman Khan but also the superstar’s highest opening ever. The film then earned Rs 59.25 crore on its second day followed by Rs 44 and Rs 21 crore on day three and four respectively. It then earned Rs 18.50 crore on day five and Rs 13 crore on day six.
