Katrina Kaif Calls Tiger 3 ‘One of My Most Loved Films’ As Salman Khan Starrer Rules Box Office –

Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif’s Tiger 3 has been receiving an overwhelming response from the audience ever since its release. In just four days, the film has recorded an astounding Rs 169.75 crore nett and Rs 272 crore gross worldwide. On Thursday, Katrina Kaif opened up about Tiger 3‘s success and shared that she feels ‘extremely happy’ about it.

“I feel extremely happy. I think being able to entertain the audience is what gives us the most joy, what gives me the most joy and the audience’s love is what allows us to keep making the Tiger franchise. And that’s a big passion, I think for all of us. It’s one of my most loved films. It’s so dear to my heart. And I think it’s all now become a big part of our lives,” she said.

Katrina further talked about her action-packed avatar in Tiger 3 and added, “It’s wonderful to see women being presented in such a strong manner. To have a character so well defined. It’s not just about the action. I’ve done action in the previous two Tigers. But even in this film, there was a certain gravitas and a certain maturity which was there in Zoya’s character. It took the story forward. We got to see more about how she operates, her mind, her background, where she came from, and what made her who she is today. I think it’s really beautiful that Yashraj, Aditya Chopra, Manish, the whole team behind it actually had the confidence to show and depict a woman like this in such a large-scale film. And this is what we want to see happening in cinema. We want to see this happening in movies where we are representing women in all their glory and as strong characters.”

Earlier, Salman Khan also shared that he is overwhelmed with the record-smashing opening of Tiger 3. “I’m delighted with the response from audience and fans for Tiger 3! They have given the film a brilliant start and I’m happy that the third part of this franchise is also scripting a success story. Tiger is a franchise that is close to my heart. So, to see it get more and more love film after film is really special. I hope the film continues to entertain audiences worldwide,” he said.

Tiger 3 marks the third film in Yash Raj Films’ OG spy franchise. It is directed by Maneesh Sharma. Besides Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif, the film also stars Emraan Hashmi as the antagonist, along with Kumud Mishra, Revathi, Riddhi Dogra and Anant Vidhaat. Shah Rukh Khan also made an action-packed cameo in the movie. Tiger 3 was released in theatres on November 12.
