Kareena Kapoor talked about collaborating with Alia Bhatt and how they both are manifesting a film together.
Alia Bhatt and her sister-in-law Kareena Kapoor have never shied away from praising each other in public. The duo recently shared gorgeous pictures on Instagram, possibly from a commercial shoot. Now, Kareena Kapoor has gone candid about similarities with Alia Bhatt, in terms of their career trajectories. She also spoke about how the two stars are manifesting a film together.
During a conversation with Mid-Day, Kareena Kapoor applauded Alia Bhatt for her film choices, “I think that she is truly gifted. She is such a spectacular actor and her choices are also…like she does these commercial big ones and then she will do a Darlings. So, she likes to do this, which is great,”
Recalling how she never met the Heart Of Stone actor when she was just a kid, Kareena added, “As a child I never met her. I didn’t know her as much. But of course now she is a relative and in the family. I think now I myself am a huge admirer of the choices because that is what makes an actor.”
She further stated, “I know that she (Alia) adores me, and it’s a very mutual thing because I truly think that she is the best in this generation. We met recently and said that we should definitely do something together. Let’s see how that energy kind of bounces off. I know because our picture went viral, and everyone started messaging Karan Johar. He said, ‘Why is everyone messaging me?’ So I told him that the onus is on him.”
Alia and Kareena share a strong and friendly bond. Khan. Alia Bhatt has repeatedly expressed her love for Kareena, saying that she has been her favourite actor since childhood. Although they didn’t share screen time, Kareena and Alia worked together in the 2016 film Udta Punjab. Kareena, too, has time and again, called Alia the finest actor that has happened in the last decade.
In a recent conversation with Pinkvilla, Kareena had said about Alia, “She is such a brave actor, and such a brave person. It’s (pregnancy) the most normal thing, and you know she is possibly going to continue this great run of her career because she is supremely talented. And that’s what, you need to have conviction in your own self and that is the most important thing.”
