Kareena Kapoor Khan said that her kids Taimur and Jeh asked why their nannies would sit separately to eat their meals.
Kareena Kapoor Khan is currently gearing up for her OTT debut with Sujoy Ghosh’s Jaane Jaan. As per the film’s trailer, Kareena’s character appears to be that of a mother who becomes the prime suspect in a case. While the actress appears to play the role of a girl’s mother in the film, in real life, she has two sons – Taimur and Jeh. She recently spoke about a “house rule” that was made upon her kids’ request.
Talking to The Indian Express at an event hosted by the media house, Kareena said that her kids’ noticed that their nannies would sit separately to eat their meals. As soon as they pointed it out, Kareena and Saif ensured that they would all sit together to eat their meals.
“My boys’ nannies are eating with them because that’s just the way both Saif and I have addressed it because Taimur has asked and Jeh is already asking, ‘Why are you sitting there? Sit here’,” Kareena said.
She added, “This is the rule of the house because they look after my children. They are looking after them when I am working and they have to get the respect that Saif and I have… We are all together most of the time and we travel together. They look after my children like their own and that is something that I cannot… I can’t just oversee that.”
Meanwhile, on the work front, Kareena’s Jaane Jaan is set to release on Netflix on September 21. The film also features Vijay Varma and Jaideep Ahlawat in prominent roles. The film’s plot is based on the novel The Devotion of Suspect X by Keigo Higashino.
Jaane Jaan is based in Kalimpong in West Bengal. Kareena plays the role of Maya D’Souza, who is in an abusive relationship. Jaideep plays Kareena’s neighbor Naren who has some idea about her situation. Vijay essays the role of Karan, a cop who is investing Maya’s missing husband.
