Kareena Kapoor Khan praised Anant Ambani after he opened up about his initiative, Vantara. The actress, on Monday evening, took to her Instagram account and shared a post lauding him for the inspiring vision and also spoke about an elephant that was rescued under the initiative. “Vantara has tirelessly rescued over 200 elephants and thousands of other animals, reptiles, and birds, committing to animal welfare. Speaking about an elephant that was treated by the initiative recently, Kareena revealed that doctors involved in the initiative successfully performed cataract surgery on an elephant named Tarzan and helped restore his vision. “This is Tarzan, a young elephant who experienced a life-changing transformation recently after a successful cataract surgery, which restored his vision,” she shared.

Anant Ambani opened up about Vantara in an exclusive conversation with CNN . “My vision is that at Vantara in Jamnagar, we would like to be the world’s most advanced wildlife institute and we would also like to conserve and breed critically endangered species so we can release them back in the habitat. Because a lot of species, even today, as we speak, are going extinct,” he said.

“So, in Hindi there’s a saying called Chidiyaghar. It’s not a Chidiya Sevalaya. So we have created it as a Sevalaya. And it’s an area where we only rehabilitate, rescue, preserve, conserve and breed the endangered species. It’s not a zoo. It’s not for any entertainment,” Anant added.

Anant said that his soon-to-be wife, Radhika Merchant is also actively involved in the initiative.
