Karan Johar Reveals It Was Deepika-Ranveer's Idea To Share Wedding Video On KWK: 'I Never Asked For It' –

When Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh shared their wedding video in Koffee With Karan this season, they left everyone in complete awe. However, it was not Karan Johar’s idea to share the heart-warming video on the national television. During a recent press conference, KJo revealed that he had never asked Deepika and Ranveer to share their wedding video. Rather, it was the star couple who suggested the same to the filmmaker.

“It was their idea to share it with us. I was very touched and very grateful to both Ranveer and Deepika for not only sharing it with me but the entire world, a very private part of their lives. Those four minutes are possibly the most precious 4 minutes of Koffee With Karan and its entire team,” Karan said.

“It takes a large and very generous heart to share the way they did because they did it after many years of their marriage. And it could have easily not been shared, I have never asked for it and I got it. I feel this is the first time on Koffee With Karan where I got much more than I bargained for,” the filmmaker added.

For the unversed, Deepika Padukone had graced the first episode of Koffee With Karan Season 8 with her husband Ranveer Singh. While the two shared several adorable moments on the chat show, they were also trolled for hinting at being in an open relationship initially. “I wanted to be single for a while because I had come from difficult relationships. I was going through a phase where I said ‘I just don’t want to be attached, don’t want to be committed’. And I had fun! And then he came along, so I didn’t commit, until he proposed to me. There was no commitment as such. Even if we were technically allowed to see other people, we would just keep coming back to each other,” Deepika had said.

This had also left many wondering if Ranveer and Deepika were in a ‘situationship’ initially.
