Karan Johar is currently basking under the success of his recently released film Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahaani. The director returned to direction after a long time. And reports are coming in that he and Kartik Aaryan are coming together for a film. Well, Pinkvilla in its exclusive report has quoted Karan Johar saying he hopes to collaborate with the actor soon.
During the Pinkvilla Masterclass in a fan segment, Karan Johar addressed the question about collaborating with Kartik Aaryan. Karan mentioned that they were supposed to work together on a film, but due to different reasons, it didn’t materialize. He stated, “Kartik and I nearly made a film and then for various reasons it couldn’t happen. But you never say never. And I am sure the future holds something very strong for both of us.”
When asked about the possibility of Dostana 2, Karan responded, “We don’t know about Dostana but we’ll make something, and that film will hopefully be defining for both of us.” He expressed hope for a future collaboration, saying, “I just hope we can collaborate very soon and on a film that we’re both equally excited about.”
For the unversed, Karan took the internet by shock when he announced the recasting of Dostana 2, in which Kartik was supposed to share the screen space with Janhvi Kapoor. And that formed the cause of an alleged rift between them. Despite reports of a spat, Kartik and Karan have often been spotted at public events. Last year, they were also seen chatting and getting pally with one another at an award function. And during a screening of Satyaprem Ki Katha a while back, they shocked many as they greeted each other and even shared a cordial hug. They also shared the panel at a film event in Australia where Karan announced he is discussing a film with Kartik.
According to Times Now, the Satyaprem Ki Katha actor has turned down the offer to appear on Karan’s show. Meanwhile, Kartik Aaryan is currently busy shooting of Kabir Khan’s sports biopic, Chandu Champion.
