Kangana Ranaut fans compare Tejas trailer with Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike.
The action-packed trailer of Tejas has everyone talking. The film, that stars Kangana Ranaut in the lead, revolves around airforce officer Tejas Gill who will take on the skies and fight for the country. Since the teaser and trailer released, fans have been comparing it with Vicky Kaushal’s Uri: The Surgical Strike. The film had released in 2019 and also featured numerous scenes showing the airforce in action.
Several fans shared videos merging glimpses from the Tejas trailer with scenes of URI and sharing it online. The videos have caught everyone’s attention, including Kangana Ranaut. Taking to her Instagram Stories, she shared one of the video and wrote, “Love the josh of fans,” seemingly referring to Uri’s iconic line, “How’s the josh.”
Tejas trailer also received much love from Anupam Kher and Aanand L Rai. Filmmaker Aanand L Rai lauded the actress on his Instagram handle. “Kangana Ranaut On the front foot. It suits you always,” he wrote. Even Anupam Kher watched and reviewed the trailer. He wrote, “BRILLIANT!! Absolutely BRILLIANT! Dearest Kangana Team ! You are MAGIC. Absolute MAGIC! Looking forward to Tejas! Jai Ho.”
Kangana Ranaut reportedly dedicated four months to rigorous training to master the specialised combat techniques employed by the Indian forces, for her film. Produced by RSVP, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Vishak Nair in pivotal roles. The movie is directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Tejas is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 27.
Tejas has been in the pipeline for three years now. The film was earlier slated to release in December 2020. Kangana had announced the film’s original release date in August 2020. At the time, in a statement to the press, Kangana said, “Tejas is an exhilarating story where I have the privilege of playing an air force pilot. I am honoured to be a part of a film that celebrates these brave men & women in uniform who make immense sacrifices in the line of duty everyday. Our film celebrates the armed forces and its heroes … Excited to take this journey with Sarvesh and Ronnie (Ronnie Screwvala, producer).”
