Kangana Ranaut On Virat Kohli Breaking Sachin’s Record: ‘They Must Worship The Earth He Walks On…’ –

Virat smashed Sachin’s ODI cenury record.

Kangana Ranuat took to Instagram Stories to praise Virat Kohli after he smashed his 50th ODI century, breaking Sachin Tendulkar’s record.

The highly anticipated ICC World Cup 2023 semi-final showdown between India and New Zealand was held at Mumbai’s Wankhede Stadium. Rohit Sharma won the toss and opted to bat in the semi-final. Virat Kohli, who got out at 117 off 113 balls, has now surpassed Sachin Tendulkar’s record for the most runs in a single World Cup, going beyond Tendulkar’s 673 runs from the 2003 World Cup. The 35-year-old Kohli also clinched his century by scoring a two off fast bowler Lockie Ferguson. He faced 106 balls, hitting eight fours and a six, breaking the record of 49 ODI hundreds that he had shared with Sachin Tendulkar. India (397/4) beat New Zealand (327) by 70 runs to enter World Cup final, where they will face Australia.

KANGANA’S POST: Many took to social media to shower praises on Virat. Sharing a video of Virat, Kangana wrote on Instagram Stories, “How wonderful!! It’s also the great precedent set by Mr Kohli how he would like to be treated by those who break his records, they must worship the earth he walks on… That’s what he deserves, great man with astonishing self worth and character.”

EARLIER INSTANCES: Although there has been no response from Virat or Anushka to Kangana’s post, it’s worth noting that this isn’t the first instance of Kangana praising the cricketer. In the past, she lauded them as a ‘power couple’ for putting up a positive example, particularly when they visited the Mahakaleshwar Temple in Ujjain, Madhya Pradesh, before one of Virat’s matches. Kangana had said, “Such a good example this power couple is setting, not only it brings them the blessings of Mahakaal (Lord Shiva), but also in some way it glorifies the Dharma and a civilisation, which is built on Sanatana. Also on micro level this increases tourism in the temple/state and over all helps the nation with its self-esteem and economy both.”
