Kangana Ranaut will soon be seen in Tejas.

Kangana Ranaut also proposed that mandatory military service should be introduced in India after graduation.

Kangana Ranaut, who is currently gearing up for the release of her upcoming movie Tejas, recently criticised Bollywood stars and cricketers for ‘maintaining friendships’ with the artists of China and Pakistan. The actress was speaking at ‘Amrit Ratna’ 2023 recently when she did not name anybody but explained how a soldier feels when an Indian celeb extends support to a Pakistani or Chinese artist.

“Our soldiers ask when Bollywood is showcasing its love for the artists of China and Pakistan, cricketers are hugging them, then am I the only one who thinks of them as enemies? Is the animosity between the two countries only for me? This is why we have made Tejas. It showcases how a soldier feels when people of the country talk behind his back while he is fighting at the border,” she said.

Kangana also proposed that mandatory military service should be introduced in India after graduation. She argued that compulsory military training would instil discipline and get rid of lazy people. “We will get rid of these lazy and irresponsible people if military training is made compulsory in the country for every child after graduation. It will inculcate discipline in them,” Kangana said.

Talking about Tejas, in the film, Kangana is playing the role of an Air Force pilot who is on a mission to fight terrorism. Reportedly, Kangana dedicated four months to rigorous training to master the specialised combat techniques employed by the Indian forces, for her film. Produced by RSVP, the film boasts a talented ensemble cast, including Anshul Chauhan, Varun Mitra, Ashish Vidyarthi, and Vishak Nair in pivotal roles. The movie is directed by Sarvesh Mewara and produced by Ronnie Screwvala. Tejas is scheduled for a theatrical release on October 27.

Meanwhile, Kangana has also been working on her next movie Emergency. She is not just playing the lead in the movie but is also directing it. Kangana will be seen essaying the role of former Indian Prime Minister Indira Gandhi in Emergency. It will be released on November 24, 2023.
