The multi-starrer epic, Kalki 2898 AD, has smashed all expectations at the box office, crossing the Rs 500-crore mark worldwide during its opening weekend. The film has garnered praise for its dynamic execution and stunning presentation, offering an immersive cinematic experience and setting off a global craze that knows no bounds.
Amid the fervour surrounding the film, a group of Japanese fans journeyed to India to witness this cinematic spectacle. The official handle of the film on Instagram shared photos of three Japanese fans standing right beside the iconic ‘Rebel’ truck at Prasads Multiplex in Hyderabad. In the snapshots, they are seen holding a specifically crafted poster featuring an animated version of Prabhas’ character Bharava from the film and his signature vehicle. The poster also featured a text, stating, “Kalki 2898 AD. Congratulations for the release!! From Japanese fans 2024.6.27.”
The film’s official handle capturing the momentous occasion wrote, “All the way from Japan to Hyderabad! Japanese fans spotted at Prasads Multiplex, Hyderabad soaking in the excitement of #Kalki2898AD with the Rebel Truck. #EpicBlockbusterKalki.”

Directed by Nag Ashwin, Kalki 2898 AD unfolds in a post-apocalyptic world set in the year 2898 AD, drawing inspiration from the Hindu epic Mahabharata. This sci-fi action spectacle features an illustrious ensemble cast including legends like Amitabh Bachchan and Kamal Haasan alongside stars Prabhas, Deepika Padukone and Disha Patani.
