On Shashthi, Kajol was spotted at a Juhu Durga Puja pandal, taking part in festivities.
Durga Puja festivities have kickstarted in full swing and Bollywood is all set for the celebrations. Durga Puja has now become a global event following its inclusion in Unesco’s intangible cultural heritage list in 2021. The fervor and excitement can even be seen among celebrities as they are thronging to the Puja pandals to take part in the festivities. Bollywood actress Kajol is no exception. Every year, she celebrates the beautiful festival with her friends and family.
In the fresh pictures and videos doing rounds on social media, Kajol can be seen at their family’s Durga Puja pandal. In a video shared by a paparazzo on their Instagram handle, Kajol is sporting a bright yellow saree paired with a red blouse. She accessorised the traditional ensemble with heavy jhumkas and bangles. She tied her hair up in a neat bun and sported a small, red bindi. Her cousin, Sharbani, kept her company Check out the video here:
After offering her prayers to Ma Durga, the actress was interacting with the crowd and even posed for the shutterbugs. Ever year, the actress takes part in Durga Puja festivities at the North Bombay Sarbojanin Durga Puja, one of the largest pujas in the western suburbs. The puja, initiated by Ayan Mukerji’s father and Kajol’s uncle Deb Mukherjee, marked its diamond Jubilee last year.
Earlier today, Kajol took to social media to revisited Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge as the film clocked 28 years. She shared a photo of the iconic green wedding which was worn by her character Simran in the film. Taking to her Instagram handle, she penned a heartfelt note that read, “Still wearing green but maybe not the same shade.. 28 years later #DDLJ belongs to you guys .. All our fans and people who have made it a legacy that lives on far beyond what we could have ever imagined. Big shoutout to all of you ❤️.”
