Kajol talks about Sarzameen for the first time
Reportedly, Sarzameen will be the remake of the Malayalam romantic comedy Hridayam. The film is being directed by Kayoze Irani
Kajol is celebrating her birthday today. Wishes have been pouring in from all corners. Well, amid this the actress has recently opened up about working with Saif Ali Khan’s son Ibrahim Ali Khan in Sarzameen. Kajol praised him and said that it would be interesting to see him onscreen. It is to be noted here that nothing has been made official about Sarzameen till now.
In an interview with Variety, Kajol spoke about Sarzameen for the first time. She will be seen with Prithviraj and Ibrahim Ali Khan. “I’ve worked with Prithviraj [Sukumaran] for the first time and he’s absolutely wonderful to work with and so was Ibrahim [Ali Khan], so I think it’s going to be quite interesting to see both of them on screen,” Kajol said.
Talking about SarZameen, the film is being directed by Kayoze Irani, the son of Boman Irani. “Sarzameen is not that kind of a film. Ibrahim was sure he did not want a conventional debut. This is a very unusual debut, and Ibrahim is thoroughly ready for the challenge,” a source cited by Bollywood Hungama claimed. However, besides Ibrahim, the film is also likely to star Kajol and Prithviraj Sukumaran in key roles.
Reportedly, Sarzameen will be the remake of the Malayalam romantic comedy Hridayam. “It is the best project for Ibrahim’s launch. For some time now, Karan is looking for a suitable launch film for Ibrahim. The character in Hridayam of a brash student maturing into marriage and fatherhood is just right for Ibrahim,” a source cited by Bollywood Hungama reported in May 2022.
Apart from this, Kajol will be soon seen in Maharagni – Queen of Queens,’ with Prabhu Deva. This action-packed thriller marks the long-awaited reunion of these actors after nearly three decades since their collaboration in Rajiv Menon’s ‘Minsaara Kanavu’ (1997). Steering this cinematic endeavor is director CharanTej Uppalapati. Recently, Ajay Devgn unveiled the teaser. The teaser highlights Kajol’s dynamic character engaging in intense battles, displaying remarkable skills and flair. Alongside, the film boasts a stellar lineup including Naseeruddin Shah, Samyuktha Menon, Jisshu Sengupta, and Aditya Seal.
