Friends actor Matthew Perry’s sudden demise left not only his fans but actors are also in shock. Still, many of them are paying him tribute by sharing photos and writing heartfelt notes for him. Keeping up with this, Matthew Perry’s ex and actress Julia Roberts broke silence for the first time after his unfortunate demise.
Speaking with Entertainment Tonight, Roberts who played a small role in the fan favourite television series Friends expressed, “The sudden passing of anybody so young is heartbreaking. I think that, you know, it just helps all of us just appreciate what we have and to keep going in a positive way as best we can.”
Further, Julia Roberts also shared that everyone in the ‘FRIENDS’ cast was quite amicable to her, “They were all so welcoming to me as just a kind of a one-off character and it was a really fun time. All good thoughts and feelings,” she told the entertainment portal.
Jennifer Aniston, who played Rachel Green in the show, also penned a heartfelt note on Instagram. She also shared a screenshot of her chat with Matthew. Matthew had written to her, “Making you love just made my day. It made my day.” To this, Jennifer replied, “Aww the firsts of THOUSANDS of times..” On a parting note, she remembered Chandler Bing’s inimitable way of talking and wrote, “Matty, I love you so much and I know you are now completely at peace and out of any pain. I talk to you every day… sometimes I can almost hear you saying ‘could you BE any crazier?’ Rest little brother.
Matthew Perry’s funeral took place on November 3, in Los Angeles, and his ‘Friends’ Jennifer Aniston, Courteney Cox, Lisa Kudrow, Matt LeBlanc and David Schwimmer attended it.
Soon after the funeral, a source told Daily Mail that Jennifer Aniston was having a hard time accepting the death of Matthew Pery, mostly “keeping to herself” at the venue. The source claimed Jennifer “genuinely” believed that Matthew Perry’s darkest days were over. But his sudden death just two years down the line came as a “bitter blow to her”. “This was a day that Jennifer had dreaded coming for 20 years. She always wanted to help Matthew in any way she could – that was a constant for her,” the source added.
