Sonam Kapoor Ahuja and Sara Ali Khan struck gold on the runway at Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla’s showcase at the launch of Jio World Plaza in Mumbai.
Celebrating quintessential maximalism, couturiers Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla presented their collection La Belle Epoque – The Beautiful Age in an array of gold and ivory shades. Sonam Kapoor looked stunning in a Navratna gold tissue slit skirt hand embroidered in gota, beads, crystals and coloured resham paired with a Navratna blouse. The colourful ensemble was paired with a tissue Hyderabadi dupatta with gold booties and borders.
The collection saw over 20 pieces sashaying the runway celebrating the magic of Abu Jani and Sandeep Khosla. Sara Ali Khan looking like a new-age goddess in gold, was a sight to behold in a gold dangler trumpet skirt hand embroidered in gold bugle beads and sequins. She paired the sparkly look in a full-sleeve shoulder blouse in gold.
The leading ladies of cinema Sonam and Sara looked like they had a good time as showstoppers as they walked with ease on the long runway celebrating the couturiers’ work of art. Signature techniques such as resham, zardozi and mirror work highlighted the creative silhouettes and styling put together and Abu Sandeep.
Reimagining classic silhouettes with contemporary styling, the designer duo presented approximately 20 designs at the show. The show also featured actor Shehnaaz Gill who stunned in a red ensemble.
The launch of the Jio World Plaza red carpet was a starry affair with celebrities bringing fashion A-game to the event. Following the dress code Simply Glam to the T, every attendee honoured the dress code by adorning silhouettes celebrating the glamorous night.
