The evergreen film star Sonam Khan made heads turn on the red carpet at the Jio World Plaza opening in Mumbai on October 31.
Known for starring in iconic 90s films such as Tridev and Ajooba, evergreen star Sonam Khan made her first public appearance after three decades at the Jio World Plaza launch.
Looking surreal in a classic black and gold Sabyasachi ensemble, Sonam exuded grace and elegance when she walked the red carpet on Tuesday night (October 31). The Indian silhouette accentuated Sonam’s charming personality and celebrated her impeccable style with elan. The plain black ensemble was enhanced with colourful embroidery detailing on the bottom and on the border of the dupatta, adding a pop of colour to her monochrome look.
Taking to Instagram, Sonam also posted how she felt attending an event after 30 years. The caption read as: After three full decades, I attended an event as grand as the @jioworldplaza opening. So much has changed, yet it has only gotten better with time.
She further added: Embracing new beginnings and empowering my dreams because it’s never too late to chase your passion and make them a reality. Life’s a journey, and I’m excited for this new chapter.
Sonam looked her finest as she posed for the shutterbugs on the red carpet and even later posted a series of images on her Instagram profile. Acing the contemporary yet timeless look, Sonam accessorised her outfit with multiple colourful jewellery pieces that added a hint of sparkle to her versatile look.
A starry affair, the Jio World Plaza launch was attended by attended by an array of celebrities including Deepika Padukone, Alia Bhatt, Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Katrina Kaif, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Janhvi Kapoor, Sonam Kapoor Ahuja, Sara Ali Khan, Tamannaaah Bhatia, Vijay Varma, Arjun Kapoor, Khushi Kapoor, Shanaya Kapoor, Athiya Shetty, Suniel Shetty, John Abraham, Malaika Arora, Shraddha Kapoor, Karisma Kapoor, Karan Johar, Nora Fatehi, Shehnaaz Gill and Monica Dogra among others.
The launch also presented a fashion extravaganza – The New Order of Style, where Indian designers Manish Malhotra, Abraham & Thakore, Abu Jani Sandeep Khosla, Rahul Mishra, Satya Paul, AK OK, Falguni Shane Peacock and Ritu Kumar presented their respective collections. The show also saw 120 models and two international supermodels sashay down the runway in luxury Indian styles.
Jio World Plaza is Reliance Industries Limited’s luxury mall. The glorious shopping destination opens its doors to the public from November 1st 2023 at the Bandra-Kurla Complex (BKC), Mumbai.
