JetSynthesys partners with Sonu Nigam to launch Indian music’s first NFT series

Pune: Digital entertainment and technology company JetSynthesys said it has partnered with artist Sonu Nigam to launch the Indian music industry’s first-ever NFT series.

The series was launched in London to appeal to the thriving diaspora looking to stay connected to their roots, featuring the singer’s journey and work. The NFT series will include Nigam’s single ‘Hall of fame’. It will also capture pages from his personal diary where he has himself penned down key moments of his life at the time of its happening, writing down details of his practise and recording sessions with the lyrics of popular songs, the lyrics of Nigam’s popular songs as penned down by him in his diary.

“What’s been especially gratifying is the process of bringing three enthusiastic teams together – our digital entertainment arm Global Music Junction, Sonu’s I Believe Music and the tech brains behind the creation of the blockchain series, Jet Media Network. With tokenisation of digital art becoming a global phenomenon, especially in gaming and global pop culture, including global music, Indian music couldn’t stay far behind,” said Rajan Navani, Vice Chairman & Managing Director, JetSynthesys. “As enablers of the project, we at JetSynthesys are looking forward to catering to the diaspora globally and the Indian music fans back home. It has been a thrilling ride, to say the least, and we’re excited to see how music aficionados take to these assets.”

JetSynthesys’ global arm, ‘Jet Media Network’, is the tech enabler behind the creation of the NFT series, creating the digital version of ‘Hall of Fame’ to Nigam’s stories behind the diaries of lyrics of his most popular songs and select images which chronicle the mercurial talent’s journey and rise to fame.

” I feel blessed to bring this journey forth through the newest digital art form, advanced NFTs, which I believe is the evolution of the music industry across the globe. It’s been a seamless and enriching experience, partnering with JetSynthesys, who, through its many entities, enabled a series of NFTs that reflect a rare and exclusive part of my life,” said Sonu Nigam. “I am also looking forward to connecting with new, digital-first music lovers through this industry-first initiative. I’m delighted to launch this single, which is the most precious and closest song to my heart: Hall of Fame – and this is my ode to all music lovers who have blessed me through my journey”.

JetSynthesys recently became the US-headquartered Warner Music Group’s (WMG) official India partner for all things related to music label licensing and acquisition, artist management, event management, original content creation across music, short videos and films, along with mobile gaming and esports. The company also has global publishing partnerships with cricketer Sachin Tendulkar, Bollywood actor Salman Khan, heavyweight Floyd Mayweather and brands like WWE, among others.
