Amitabh Bachchan and Jaya Bachchan attended the premiere of The Archies. The film stars their grandson Agastya Nanda in the lead.
Amitabh Bachchan couldn’t stop himself from reacting after his wife, veteran actress Jaya Bachchan scolded the paparazzi. The Rocky Aur Rani Kii Prem Kahani star joined the Bachchan family at the premiere of The Archies. Jaya was showing her support to her grandson, Agastya Nanda, who is making his debut with the Zoya Akhtar film. Jaya was joined by Amitabh, Abhishek Bachchan, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, Aaradhya Bachchan, Shweta Bachchan and Navya Naveli Nanda, among others, at the red carpet event.
In a video shared on Instagram and now going viral, Jaya was seen losing her cool when the paparazzi called out the Bachchan family members’ names to get their attention. “Chillao mat (don’t shout),” she said as the Bachchan family members gathered to pose for the photo. Amitabh reacted to her scolding by asking the paparazzi, “Sunn liya?”

The Bachchan family had reunited for a public gathering after a long time. Apart from Jaya, everyone chose to wear black outfits as they cheered for Agastya. In a video, Aishwarya was also seen teasing Agastya by telling him to get used to the paparazzi attention and cameras now.
The Archies is directed by Zoya Akhtar. Speaking about casting Agastya, Zoya revealed that he was the last actor to have been roped in for the film. In an interview wiht The Quint, Zoya said, “Agastya Nanda was cast last, and he thought it was a prank.”
The Archies is slated to release on December 7 on Netflix.
