Jaguar India has discreetly presented the XF facelift in our market with costs beginning from Rs 71.60 lakh, going up to Rs 76 lakh (ex-display area, all India).
The refreshed Jaguar XF highlights inconspicuous outside superficial updates, an intensely modified and more tech-loaded lodge, and it brings back the diesel motor that was recently ceased in the change to BS6 standards. The new XF is exclusively accessible in a completely stacked R-Dynamic S trim in the Indian market.
Jaguar XF Facelift: what’s new on the outside?
While the restorative updates to the XF facelift are very unpretentious, in general the vehicle looks much more honed and upscale. The new R-Dynamic S trim further adds to the energetic makeover of the vehicle.
Front and center, it gets a bigger grille with network design and the quad Pixel LED headlights are sleeker with new ‘Twofold J Blade’ DRL signature. The front guard is all the more forcefully styled with bigger air admissions.
In profile, the updates are simply restricted to new composite wheels with the R-Dynamic S trim, while at the back the new XF gets slimmer LED tail lights and an improved guard.
Jaguar XF Facelift: interior updates and features
Unlike the exterior, the interior of the XF facelift receives a more comprehensive update with a completely redesigned dashboard. The highlight is, of course, the new Pivi Pro infotainment system with a 11.4-inch floating curved touchscreen, similar to other newer Jaguar Land Rover models.
Other notable updates include a new 12.3 inch high-definition digital instrument cluster, a new button-heavy but sporty-looking steering wheel, a new stubby gear lever replacing the old rotary dial and new rotary-dial based AC control knobs.
What is a really significant improvement over the previous model is the quality of materials, with trim, upholstery and switchgear lifted straight from the Range Rover SUV.
The cabin is adorned with high-quality materials, such as open-pore wood on the dashboard, higher-quality leather upholstery, brushed aluminium window switches and machined aluminium speaker grilles. Jaguar has also improved overall storage and practicality on the new XF’s interior.
Jaguar XF facelift: powertrain options
The new Jaguar XF has been dispatched with two motor choices in India. There’s the P250 variation that comes controlled by a 2.0-liter, four-chamber super petroleum motor delivering 250hp and 365Nm of pinnacle force.
The XF diesel D200 gets 2.0-liter motor that produces 203hp and 430Nm of force and even accompanies gentle cross breed innovation. The two motors come mated to a 8 speed programmed transmission and force is shipped off the back tires as it were.
The petroleum variation can run from 0-100kph in 6.5 seconds and has a maximum velocity of 250kph. In the mean time, the diesel rendition runs from 0-100kph in 7.6 seconds and has a maximum velocity of 235kph, as per Jaguar.
Jaguar XF facelift: rivals in India
The new XF facelift comes to India as a completely imported unit (CBU) for the present, not at all like its archetype that was privately gathered in India. Normally, it’s impressively more costly than its opponents which are privately collected.
The Jaguar XF goes facing any semblance of the Mercedes-Benz E-Class (Rs 64.5 lakh-82.10 lakh), BMW 5-Series (Rs 63.40 lakh-73.50 lakh), the Audi A6 (Rs 57.08 lakh-61.81 lakh)* and the as of late dispatched Volvo S90 (Rs 61.90 lakh).
Appointments for the new XF are progressing for a symbolic measure of Rs 10 lakh, in spite of the fact that it should be noticed that there’s a holding up time of something like a half year because of worldwide semiconductor crisis.
