Jaguar F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 unveiled, limited to 394 units

Only 394 examples of the SVR’s first limited edition will be produced.

Inspired by its racing heritage, Jaguar has revealed a new special version of the F-Pace SVR SUV. Called the Edition 1988, it is the first limited edition of Jaguar’s range-topping SUV. Only 394 examples will be made worldwide – the same as the number of laps completed by the Jaguar XJR-9 M to win the 1988 Le Mans 24 hours.

  • Features gold detailing for exterior and interior

F-Pace SVR Edition 1988: what’s special?

There are key design details that differentiate this edition from the regular SVR. Those include a gloss-purple paint, gold 22-inch forged alloy wheels, and gold detailing for exteriors and interiors. Other touches include an Edition 1988 badge on the rear of the car, ebony leather upholstery and carbon-fibre finish on the inside.

There are no changes under the hood. The Edition 1988 continues to be powered by a 550hp, 5.0-litre supercharged V8 engine paired to an 8-speed automatic transmission. Jaguar claims that the F-Pace SVR can do a sprint of 0-100kph in 4.0sec.

The Edition 1988 will be displayed at the Le Mans 24 hours next weekend and also at the Goodwood Festival of Speed at the end of June. This limited-run model arrives just a few years before Jaguar becomes an all-electric luxury brand from 2025.

Jaguar F-Pace SVR in India

The F-Pace SVR Edition 1988 might come to India. Currently, Jaguar sells the standard F-Pace SVR in the Indian market with a starting price of Rs 1.51 crore. The V8 SUV takes on the likes of the Porsche Cayenne Turbo, Audi RSQ8, BMW X5M and Mercedes-AMG GLE 63 S.
