Is Kia Sonet the best diesel compact SUV in India?

The Sonet diesel automatic can be an ideal replacement for an Ecosport; Brezza, Venue may not get diesel automatic option in future.

I have a Ford EcoSport diesel and I’m looking to replace it with a diesel automatic compact SUV, priced under Rs 15 lakh. I checked out the Kia Sonet, but am not a big fan of its exterior design. Do I wait for the new Maruti Suzuki Brezza or the Hyundai Venue facelift, or do I go ahead with the Sonet?

Autocar India says: As far as diesel auto compact SUVs are concerned, the options include Tata Nexon AMT, Mahindra XUV300 AMT and Kia Sonet AT. Among these, the Sonet is the nicest thanks to its smooth-shifting torque converter. The Sonet is a great car and we’d recommend giving it a longer, harder second look. The Brezza and Venue are unlikely to get a diesel-auto.
