iNeuron acquires YouTuber Hitesh Chaudhary’s Learn Code Online in an all-stock deal

Mumbai: Indian edtech company iNeuron has acquired 100% stake in YouTube influencer Hitesh Chaudhary’s learning platform Learn Code Online (LCO), in an all-stock deal that values LCO between Rs 110 crore and Rs 120 crore, people with knowledge of the transaction said.

As part of the deal, Chaudhary will join iNeuron as its chief technology officer (CTO). Chaudhary will also bring to iNeuron his connections with more than 20 colleges overseas and over 100 Indian and foreign universities, allowing it to connect with more top influencers.

LCO offers courses related to programming and tech at affordable rates.

iNeuron, founded by former EY and Panasonic executives Sudhanshu Kumar and Krish Naik, offers over 230 courses across technologies, including emerging fields like data science, blockchain, Internet of Things (IoT), AR/VR and commercial drones.

“We are thrilled to have Hitesh aboard,” said iNeuron founder Kumar. “At iNeuron, my key objective is to make education affordable and strengthen our IT infrastructure so that we can manage millions of learners. Our students should be able to learn on both the web and mobile platforms without difficulty. Make our IT staff stronger so that instructors may focus on teaching while we handle the technology infrastructure.”

On his new role, Chaudhary said, “The most essential goal of this new journey is to focus on teaching vital skill sets to students that are wanted by companies and organisations all over the world, as well as making education more accessible and sustainable. Making education more accessible to all sectors of the economy, in my opinion, is the only path ahead for society.”

INeuron, which began as a product development company with both local and international clients, aims to fill the gaps in the realm of AI education. Its founders said data science education is not only prohibitively costly but also lacks practical exposure through live projects.

The company has experience in product development in the areas of computer vision, deep learning, natural language processing as well as sectoral expertise in warehousing, security, surveillance, healthcare, and inventory management.

It had secured Series A funds from the Indian education company S Chand Group in 2021 and launched affordable education programmes One Neuron and Kids Neuron. It is now in talks to raise a Series B round for international expansion.
