A comparable situation occurred during the TV reality show, Indian Idol 14 when an individual resembling Kumar Sanu graced the stage. The sight of Kumar Sanu’s lookalike left singers Shreya Ghoshal and Vishal Dadlani in disbelief. A guess what? Kumar Sanu himself was present there and he seemed impressed.
The person made his way to the Indian Idol stage to display his singing talent. His striking resemblance to Kumar Sanu, from the chain around his neck to his clothing style and even how he held the microphone, left the judges shocked. As he performed on stage, emulating Kumar Sanu’s style, his vocal abilities left everyone in disbelief. Now, one of his performance videos is gaining immense popularity on social media.
People are actively commenting on this video. One user remarked, “Both possess equal talent, but their fortunes have taken different paths.” Another user stated, “He truly lived up to the name ‘Junior Sanu’.” Another comment humorously noted, “He’s like a 99.9% downloaded version of Kumar Sanu.”

As Kumar Sanu celebrated his impressive 35-year career in the music industry a few months ago, he shared his music preferences in a recent interview. The melody king expressed his fondness for classics by mentioning that he enjoys listening to songs by Lata Mangeshkar and Kishore Kumar. However, he went on to reveal that he doesn’t find today’s Hindi music worth listening to, giving his perspective on its quality.
Kumar Sanu elaborated on his musical preferences, stating, “I listen to old songs by Lata Ji, Kishore Kumar and Mohammed Rafi. I tend to avoid listening to my songs, as I mentioned earlier. I also enjoy some English songs, but when it comes to today’s Hindi music, I don’t find it worth listening to. So, I neither listen to it nor am I well-acquainted with it,” he shared with the Indian Express.
