Increased pension for retired employees? Big update on DR hike, see details

The data was delivered by means of an office notice by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances, and Pensions.

We have a piece of uplifting news for retired people! Centre has expanded the annuity of CPF recipients who resigned between November 18, 1960, and December 31, 1985, as per an office update by the Ministry of Personnel, Public Grievances and Pensions.

In the notice, the Ministry said that the CPF recipients (making due) who resigned between November 18, 1960, and December 31, 1985, and are qualified for ex-gratia Rs 3000, Rs 1000, Rs 750, and Rs 650 for Group A, B, C and D separately from June 4, 2013 gulp presently be qualified for expanded Dearness Relief (DR) from 368% of the ex-gratia to 381% of the ex-gratia from January 1, 2022.


The authority notice read, “The enduring CPF recipients who have resigned from administration between the period 18.11.1960 and 31.12.1985, and are qualified for essential ex-gratia @ Rs 3,000, Rs 1,000, Rs 750 and Rs 650 for Group A, B, C and D, separately, w.e.f June 4, 2013, vide OM No. 1/10/201 2-P&PW(E) dtd. June 27, 2013, will currently be qualified for improved dearness help from 368% of the fundamental ex-gratia to 381 percent of the essential ex-gratia w.e.f 01.01.2022.”

Talking about the classes of CPF recipients who will be qualified for expanded DR, which will increment from 360% to 373 percent of the essential ex-gratia, it said, “First, the widows and qualified offspring of the departed CPF recipient who had resigned from administration preceding 01.01.1986 or who had kicked the bucket while in help before 01.01.1986 and are qualified for modified ex-gratia @Rs.645 each month w.e.f 04 June 2013 vide OM No 1/10/2012-P&PW(E) dated June 27, 2013.”

“Besides, the central government representatives who had resigned on CPF benefits before November 18, 1960, and are in receipt of an ex-gratia payment of Rs 654, Rs 659, Rs 703, and Rs 965.”
