Eega co-stars Nani and Samantha Ruth Prabhu had an unexpected reunion on a flight to Mumbai.
Nani and Samantha Ruth Prabhu, who once shared the screen in the blockbuster film Eega, aka Makkhi, recently had an unexpected reunion in Hyderabad. Both the stars are currently busy with their packed schedules. Nani is promoting his latest film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram. Samantha, on the other hand, is working on multiple projects. Their delightful encounter happened while they were on a flight to Mumbai. Thrilled after meeting the Jersey star, she decided to share a selfie on her Instagram Stories. The actress also expressed her excitement and wished him good luck for his new film. Nani too posted the same selfie on his social media handle and wished Samantha well for her future projects.
In the selfie, Nani and Samantha are flaunting their bright smiles for the camera. Both the superstars are looking stylish in their trendy outfits and sunglasses. Besides their collaboration in SS Rajamouli’s action thriller, Eega, Nani and Samantha also appeared together in the romantic drama Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu.
Sharing the selfie with actor, the Kushi star wrote, “Nani, the sweetest surprise today All the very best for Saripodhaa Sanivaaram.” While Nani replied, “Thank you Sam Wishing you best with all the new beginnings.”
Fans of Nani and Samantha Ruth Prabhu are in for a treat as their 2012 film Yeto Vellipoyindhi Manasu is set to hit the big screen once more. Directed by Gautham Vasudev Menon, the movie will be re-released on August 2. However, the re-release will be limited to selected theatres in Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, as a specific distributor has acquired the rights for this special screenings.
For those not aware, the Telugu hit was filmed simultaneously in Tamil as well, titled Neethane En Ponvasantham, featuring Jiiva and Samantha. During the time, there were even plans to make a Hindi version with Samantha alongside Aditya Roy Kapur, but the project never moved forward.
On the work front, Nani is gearing up for the release of his film Saripodhaa Sanivaaram, which is scheduled to release in theatres on August 29. He’s also busy working on his next project, Nani 32, directed by Sujeeth. Meanwhile, Samantha is set to appear in the upcoming Indian spin-off of Priyanka Chopra’s Citadel series, titled Citadel: Honey Bunny, where she’ll star alongside Varun Dhawan, directed by Raj and DK. The actress is also busy working on Bangaram, slated to release in 2025.
