In Bihar’s Begusarai, Cases Of Heart Attacks On The Rise Due To Air Pollution –

The doctors in Begusarai say that air pollution can become a trigger for heart attacks, irregular heart rhythms, and strokes.

Bihar’s Begusarai has recently made it to the list of one of the most polluted cities in the country. According to reports, cases of heart attacks have also increased in the city. The reason for which is being cited as the bad air quality.Community health centres and public hospitals are filled with patients with heart diseases. The doctors in Begusarai say that air pollution can become a trigger for heart attacks, irregular heart rhythms, and strokes. Let us take a look at the situation in depth.

According to the Begusarai IMA Secretary Dr Ranjan Chaudhary and Dr Pankaj Kumar Singh, a cardiologist, there is a rapid increase of heart patients in the government and private hospitals. The patients are complaining of symptoms like chest pain, throat pain, back pain, sweating and pain in both arms. Reportedly, these conditions are said to be the early symptoms of a heart attack.

Studies show that air pollution can develop cardiovascular diseases in people, because of this a person may experience irregular heartbeats, fatigues, chest tightness, and breathing problems. Dust particles in smog, smoke, and clean looking air can also be a cause for cardiovascular ailments. It is also being reported that in the last three months, cases of death because of heart failure have increased at a rapid rate. More reports state that if this situation is not taken under control, the death graph is predicted to rise fast.

Experts suggest that if you are living in a place like Begusarai, make sure to cover your face with a mask, whenever you go out. They further note that if anyone is experiencing chest pain, sore throat, back pain or pain in both the arms they should immediately go to a hospital, and get a check-up, as well as an ECG (Electrocardiogram) done.
